we could try to talk but what is there to say, it’s been such a long time should’ve kept it that way vampires in the attic sleeping through the night our werewolves in the basement hiding from the moon light how long before we stop conversating there’s blood in the sky, and nothing more to talk about it’s so hard to enjoy each other’s phrases they make me fantasize about all the other people I could talk to both of us are stuck in this awkward situation everyone around seems to be more fascinating vampires on a diet craving blood streams our werewolves in the basement howling karaokes how long before we stop conversating there’s blood in the sky, and nothing more to talk about it’s so hard to enjoy each other’s phrases they make me fantasize about all the other things I could be doing on the Euro train Brussels to Paris trying too hard to be interesting on the Euro star Brussels to London talking talking talking about absolutely nothing but on the night train I’m midnight chasing taking me away from our conversations I took a night train (sleeping all the way)

Podgorica 02:42
disappear in the night exchange music and goodbyes hope to see you again and watch this river burn without knowing what to say or do take a break from the labour nobody wants you to stay strong we could do this all night long and never see the city pouring concrete on the concrete ground how do we survive if we burn it down if we burn it down, then how do we survive how do we survive buried in the ground buried in the ground, then how do we survive hold each other tight (keep our spirits high)

Brussels parties on April nights I’m staring at you dancing in the crowd let’s never wash our sins away being with you I’m feeling safe where would you go if you had a time machine? New York City, late seventies or Palestine at the time of Jesus being with you is what I’m dreaming of being with you... look how far we’ve come you and me just having fun didn’t turn out as planned it’s time to get things sorted in the backyard skipping home runs nothing matters anymore I kiss you when just wake up I don’t care bout your teeth unbrushed I wanna cry with you some day being with you all the way white hairs keep growing on your skull like a zebra, maybe more human beautiful animal, you’re so magical being with you, I’m galloping being with you... look how far we’ve come you and me just having fun didn’t turn out as planned it’s time to get things sorted in the backyard skipping home runs nothing matters anymore

let’s take a trip down memory lane and end up in your imagination like poetry from the past generations It’s time to get lost again roaming the streets all day you love to talk to strangers who bring you back back home again back back home again bringing you back keep you much closer stop growing older resurrect faster (when we) hold hands together regenerate partly half you and half me never surrender hold on forever remember the dying apple tree together we decorate its branches the plastic flowers bring it back back to life again back to life again bringing it back how I wish I could figure out your stories there’s so many things that I still wanna know i’ll remember you the way you are

called you but you just do not respond all I wanna do is turn you on nothing I can do to fix you, hardware people stop working at sixty-seven why don’t you machines receive pensions you have to work until you die you know what you are born to do serving others is what makes you you seven days a week and no vacation I’m used to always have you around what am I to do when you break down you are my favorite device hardware, hardware, you let me down again hardware, hardware, refuse to be repaired I know there’s something wrong you feel like you have to perform all the time I have to admit something I didn’t believe in pensions for machines social welfare and working rights every human and each device

camping trips are so exhausting all we do is keep on walking follow maps and still get lost being chased by (three) dogs no more sense of direction no GPS reception i don’t mind the situation you’re my only destination it’s not easy but I would do this all over again all over again camping nights are so damn cruel all the hardships we go through freezing in a pop-up tent count the hours, wish we had put in some more thought all the gear we should’ve bought like insulated sleeping bags so we don’t freeze to death you do your best to keep me warm with your body heat put your arms around me tell me you still like me even though I was unprepared and this trip was badly planned all the fire in my heart is burning just to keep you warm it’s freezing, but i would do this all over again now the time has come show our cards let’s tripadvise ourselves to each other’s broken hearts and leave no ratings people recommend me places to see I only wanna discover your topography scout your forest hills they’re perfect no one can’t hurt us when we make out in this tent we’re turning into more than friends morning comes and feeds the day and takes the freezing night away can’t we sleep forever stay together don’t wanna be anywhere else don’t wanna be anywhere else don’t wanna be anywhere else I just don’t wanna be anywhere else but close to you
7.
I’m so sorry for what happened at the party last night I left everybody without saying goodbye trying to avoid all the complications just wanna go home no explanation thieves in the night I can’t help it, I’m sneaking out It’s so easy to disappear I wish somebody would keep me here and say: there’s no need for this kind of behavior just come on over, say I’ll see you later thieves in the night I can’t help it, I’m sneaking out what in the world is happening now escape the room all these systems of sound walking through the audience I'm breaking the chain before I leave kissing your cheeks thieves in the night I can’t help it, I’m sneaking out

the love you gave me, baby, ran out of control I hope without you I can finally take things slow no more suggestions on how I’m supposed to feel I’ll ignore you everywhere: the car, the bus, the streets time has come to do it without you wifi, goodbye I’m finally feeling bored again, and I’m glad to wifi, goodbye the passwords we exchanged were supposed to be just functional but I tried slipping in some cute romantic words as well now come to think of it, you kind of did the same you told me how we were connected everyday all the iPhones in the room are reminding me of you all the emails in my mailbox they will have to show some patience no more internet every time, everywhere don’t you try to connect with me again cause we’re over I have to let you go my wireless friend we have come to an end but you don’t have to worry about finding love there are plenty other fish in this wireless world wifi, goodbye

about

Sea releases a first full album called Every Human, Each Device. An exciting mix of up and down tempo songs, singing about social rights for machines, forced small talk, and getting clean from too much wifi. Rocking, shivering, dreaming songs about the daily adventures of human and non-human beings.

Sea (Peoples) starts as a bunch of teenagers growing up in the same neighborhood in a village who follow each other to the capital in their twenties. In Brussels, Timo Vantyghem (vocals, composition), Fien Robbe (vocals, keys), Dries Robbe (backings, guitar) and Ben De Greef (bass) are finally joined with a drummer called Engel Peet. She makes the band sound more energetic and groovy, and Sea (Peoples) evolves from cozy dream pop to lively indie.

In the meantime, band members are exploring new horizons with bands like schroothoop (jazz, global), Borokov (klezmer), Bajeer (fairy rock), Another Dancer (lo-fi pop) and La Clinik Du Dr. Poembak (street orchestra).

After three self-released EP's, Sea hits the studio again in Autumn 2022 to record an album with Pascal Deweze and Hans De Prins in Studio Jezus (Antwerp). The songs are skillfully mixed by Noah Melis and mastered by Uwe Teichert.

The album was supported by the Projectsubsidie Talentontwikkeling from the Flemish Government.

Thank you for listening!
